A special milestone at Flikweert Vision: the first batch of upgraded QualityGraders has left our production facility. What makes this delivery even more special is that all six machines are destined for a single customer, where they will become part of a leading onion sorting line. This delivery marks an important step in the continued development of the QualityGrader. The upgraded machine builds on years of practical experience gained from hundreds of installations worldwide. Those insights have been translated into technical improvements that make the machine even more future-ready and better aligned with the day-to-day needs of growers, packers and processors.
The upgraded QualityGrader brings together a range of important developments. These include a renewed software platform, enhanced remote service capabilities, further optimisation of the sorting performance and technical improvements that increase reliability, ease of use and scalability. While the technology has evolved, the machine continues to do what it was designed for: objectively, consistently and product-friendly assess and sort potatoes and onions.
The first six machines will be installed and commissioned over the coming weeks as part of a modern onion sorting line. This application clearly demonstrates where the QualityGrader adds value: not only by reducing the need for manual inspection, but also by bringing greater consistency, predictability and control to the sorting process
This milestone is the result of close collaboration across the entire Flikweert Vision team. Colleagues from software, engineering, product management, production, service, purchasing and many other departments each contributed their expertise to the development of this upgraded machine. From design and testing to assembly, preparation and delivery, this achievement reflects a true team effort.
For Flikweert Vision, this delivery represents more than the shipment of six machines. It reflects our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. By listening to the needs of the market and translating insights from machines in the field into new developments, we continue to advance optical sorting technology that delivers value every day.
Over the coming months, we look forward to seeing the upgraded QualityGraders perform in daily operation and gathering valuable feedback from the field. In the meantime, our team is already working on the next batch of upgraded QualityGraders.
