Lamb Weston, a leading supplier of frozen potato products to restaurants and retailers worldwide, has announced the launch of its new Olive Oil Crinkle Cut Fries and Olive Oil Tater Puffs, the first products to be par-fried in olive oil for the U.S. market.
The launch follows consumer research conducted by Lamb Weston, which found strong demand for olive oil-cooked fries. According to the company, 74% of consumers would order fries cooked in olive oil, while 52% said they would be willing to pay more for them.
The new products are par-fried in a blend of refined and virgin olive oils formulated for foodservice operations. They can be prepared in standard fryers or ovens, while the Olive Oil Tater Puffs are also compatible with quick-cook ovens. Both products are vegan, vegetarian, and Non-GMO Project Verified.
Designed to deliver the performance and consistency operators expect from Lamb Weston, the new offerings are suitable for full-service, limited-service, and quick-service restaurants. The launch builds on the company’s more than 75 years of innovation in frozen potato products.
The rollout will begin as a scaled launch, with sample requests now available through the Lamb Weston website.
